This March, join the Council in recognizing Colorectal Cancer Awareness Month. Colorectal cancer is the third most common cancer in the United States and the second leading cause of cancer deaths. Proper screenings beginning at age 50 can reduce this mortality significantly, yet people experiencing homelessness are less likely to receive such cancer screenings than individuals with stable housing.
